ImaginiAli pointed this site out to me. It creates a profile for you based on visual stimuli. Simple idea but I have not seen this before. It is so much more engaging and emotive than textual surveys. It's fun at least to try out - http://imagini.net.
The site also creates a profile to recommend potential gifts based on your profile. It was actually reasonably accurate for me. This concept has many applications especially if they can resist the urge to be tabloid about the profiling and actually use real psychologists to help create these profiles in future. The recommendations engine is also powerful for finding like minded people, as often words and demographics can never really find what's in the mind as much as a picture. Cook Your Own Indian Team EventContinuing the team events tradition, this month the product management team came over to my house for some hands on cooking lessons.
I love cooking as a way of relaxing and because it allows me to entertain friends in a casual setting. I grew out of loud bars for getting to know people a long time ago. Dinner parties are just a great way to do something for your friends and chat in a relaxed setting. When I was single living in London, my flatmate Francois and I would cook dinners every Sunday for about 12 people. He would prepare a delicate French dish and I would bring out my spicy Indian creation. They always went over well and late into the night.
Our team events are about sharing our passions with the team. So it was great to have everyone make some simple but popular dishes. I don't have real recipes as I tend to add what looks about right, so in some cases the instructions were not so great. But all in all, everyone did a great job. If anyone is interested, you can find all the recipes here. Give it a go!
Next up is Marty, who is training for a triathlon. Her treat is to take us biking in April. Can't wait. ImaginiAli pointed this site out to me. It creates a profile for you based on visual stimuli.
